Fruits of the Season Festival

The Fruits of the Season Summer Long Festival at Over the Hill Orchards and Winery celebrates the bounty of the orchard with themed events on the last weekend of each month from May to October. Each festival features live music, fruit-inspired dishes and drinks, educational activities, orchard tours, and interactive experiences, creating a fun and delicious way to engage the community and showcase the season's freshest flavors.

Visitor Kiosk

The Visitor Kiosk Stakeholder Feedback project focused on creating an inclusive, dynamic, and welcoming visitor pavilion at Regina International Airport to enhance first impressions of Southern Saskatchewan. Through stakeholder engagement and surveys, the initiative identifies key design elements such as technology integration, multilingual support, accessibility, and timely information, aiming to promote regional attractions, engage diverse audiences, and create space for community partnerships while encouraging memorable visitor experience to the destination.

Workshop: Crafting Authentic and Engaging Tourism Products

This virtual workshop focuses on creating, positioning, and marketing tourism products. It outlines the definition of a tourism product as a mix of tangible and intangible elements aimed at delivering unique visitor experiences. Key areas covered include product development, partnerships, and phased implementation strategies. The presentation emphasizes understanding target audiences, analyzing competition, collecting visitor feedback, and leveraging niche markets like Indigenous tourism and astrotourism. It also highlights real-world case studies and provides actionable insights on product positioning, partnership building, and phased execution to enhance tourism offerings and drive visitor engagement. The workshop also included a digital workbook that could be worked in alongside the presentation.
